Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to two actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. The role of Jackie Harris was played by her mom in both of her two appearances on Roseanne. The parents of her didn't want her to take on acting roles until she was an adult, fearing the effects of stress. Perry states that she did not want to perform in high school, but she decided to begin performing as a form of social interaction at Northwestern University when she switched from Boston University. When she graduated, Perry relocated to New York to search for TV work, landing a few roles in series like Law & Order: Criminal Intent However, she was stricken by homelessness and brought Perry back home to California and she was able to find theater work. In 2013, she was a part of The Other Place on Broadway along with her mother. The father of her Kevin McKidd performed in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer prize-winning film Anna Christie together with her in the year 2015. Perry played a role in 9 episodes of the ABC thriller The Family in 2016. She had a regular role in the ABC drama about politics Scandal that starred her dad. She played the younger Mary Cooper (Sheldon Cooper's mother) in Young Sheldon. This spin-off show of CBS's The Big Bang Theory was another younger portrayal of her mother. She got the part in an audition that was open despite being a fan of the persona.
