Zoe-perry
Perry was born in Chicago to the actors Laurie Metcalf and Jeff Perry. Perry made her debut on television in the role of Jackie Harris, a character that was played by her mother on Roseanne, an ABC show Roseanne. Her parents did not allow her to perform by her parents until adulthood, as they feared the stress it would create. Perry, who was too shy to be a part of the theater in her high school, started to act in the theater at Northwestern University because she wanted to make new acquaintances. Perry, after graduating from Boston University moved into New York in search of television roles. Perry was able to land small roles on shows such as Law & Order: Criminal Intent. Then, homelessness led her to California in search of theater jobs. Her mother and she appeared on Broadway together for the play The Other Place, in 2013. In 2015, she performed with her father as well as Kevin McKidd in Eugene O'Neill's Pulitzer Prize-winning film Anna Christie at the Odyssey Theatre Ensemble in West Los Angeles. In 2016, Perry appeared on nine episodes on ABC's drama The Family. In 2017, Perry had a minor role on ABC's thriller about politics Scandal which starred her father. In the same year, she appeared as a younger model of Mary Cooper on Young Sheldon (a CBS spinoff The Big Bang Theory), portraying her mother as a young version. The character was assigned an audition to the actress, even though she was a cousin to the role.
